Charles Freeman on board of Chinese government oil company - 02/27/09
... (aka "Chas Freeman") to head the National Intelligence Council ("NIC"). Since 2004, Freeman has served on the board of the China National Offshore Oil Corporation ("CNOOC"). That company is 75% owned by the Chinese government, and in 2005 they tried to buy Unocal with an $18.5 billion all-cash offer. Details here.
