The speech concentrated on (no big surprise) spending rather than issues that are actually more important and more fundamental such as immigration. The speech didn't mention immigration at all. But it did include this incredibly ironic bit:

This post will look at three rightwing blog postings and describe how they could have been more effective. I keep seeing people make these same mistakes and - to be frank - to a certain extent I don't want them to do things the better way since that's more competition for me. On the other hand, another mistake they and similar people make is to not read this site, so it all evens out.
Mary Katharine Ham put together a cute video called "Obama: Don't Ask Me No Questions", about Barack Obama's general unwillingness to be asked questions (link). She calls it a "brief year in review of Obama's legendary new openness and transparency with the press corps" (link).
