Media Violence Fast: far-left religious groups cover up support for illegal activity with false claims of "hate" - 10/17/09

Between October 19 and 26, a group of far-left religious groups [1] will be conducting a "Media Violence Fast" during which they're encouraging their members to avoid violence in the media; that wouldn't be such a bad goal if all they were doing was avoiding entertainment programs. Of course, they aren't doing just that. Instead, they're using the "hate speech" label to both paper over the fact that they support massive illegal activity and in an attempt to silence those in the media who support our laws. Mark Lloyd /FCC: "white people" must "step down so someone else can have power" (Diversity Czar) - 10/09/09

In May 2005, Mark Lloyd of the FCC - the Chief Diversity Officer or "Diversity Czar" - said the following [1]: This... there's nothing more difficult than this. Because we have really, truly good white people in important positions. And the fact of the matter is that there are a limited number of those positions. And unless we are conscious of the need to have more people of color, gays, other people in those positions we will not change the problem. We're in a position where you have to say who is going to step down so someone else can have power. Video and more to follow. [1] newsbusters....

There's news from Venezuela North, also known as the mind of Rep. Henry Waxman, as according to this his representatives met with FCC staffers to discuss ways to put in place a form of the "Fairness Doctrine" without actually calling it such. An unnamed "House Energy staffer" says: It's all about diversity in media... Does one radio station or one station group control four of the five most powerful outlets in one community? Do four stations in one region carry Rush Limbaugh, and nothing else during the same time slot? Does one heavily trafficked Internet site present one side of an issue...

FCC complaint filed over "hate" on cable (National Hispanic Media Coalition) - 02/02/09

In a bid to silence opponents of illegal/massive immigration, the National Hispanic Media Coalition has filed a complaint with the FCC alleging that various cable TV hosts are spreading hate regarding immigration matters (link, via this). The NHMC stresses that they aren't advocating bringing back the Fairness Doctrine, they just want the FCC to look into the matter: [They] want the FCC to collect data, seek public comment, explore what they say is the relationship between hate speech and hate crimes and "explore options" for combating it. Indications are that their concerns will fall on...
