Brookings Institution

The Brookings Institution is a think tank that tends to support massive and illegal immigration. Per the New York Times, "about 12 percent of its annual funding [comes] from foreign governments. Oil-rich nations such as Qatar, the United Arab Emirates and Norway are among its biggest foreign donors." [1]

Three ways Kathleen Hall Jamieson and John Villasenor can help the First Amendment - 09/19/17

Kathleen Hall Jamieson and the Annenberg Public Policy Center (@APPCPenn) and John Villasenor of the Brookings Institution (@johndvillasenor) have disturbing reports on support for and knowledge of the

Brookings: college students unclear on and don't fully support First Amendment - 09/19/17

From John Villasenor of the Brookings Institution [1]: To explore the critical issue of the First Amendment on college campuses, during the second half of August I conducted a national survey of 1,500 current undergraduate students at U.S. four-year colleges and universities...

An effective way to oppose Bilderberg in less than five minutes - 05/29/14

There are plenty of hard and/or ineffective ways to oppose the Bilderberg conference. Instead, I'll describe something you can do in less than five minutes that - if enough people joined in - would have a measurable impact. The goal of this approach is to make Bilderberg toxic to some degree. That is, leaders wouldn't want to be caught attending one of their meetings. Wouldn't that go a long way towards reducing Bilderberg influence?

Public Religion Research Institute's misleading poll (immigration, DREAM Act, Brookings Institution) - 09/06/11

The Public Religion Research Institute ("PRRI") has released a poll called "What it Means to be American: Attitudes in an Increasingly Diverse America Ten Years after 9/11" (publicreligion.org/research/?id=680) which includes a few questions about immigration. I'll explain how two of the poll questions are misleading (see immigration poll for other misleading polls about this issue).

Michael Barone isn't outraged by anti-American DREAM Act - 05/15/11

The DREAM Act is an anti-American bill that would let the illegal aliens covered by it deprive some U.S. citizens of college. Michael Barone of the Washington Examiner - discussing Obama's latest immigration speech - isn't exactly perturbed by the anti-American bill (link): It's obvious that nothing like the legalization (opponents say "amnesty") provisions considered in 2007 can pass in this Congress. They can never pass the Republican House, where Judiciary Chairman Lamar Smith is a long-standing opponent and Speaker John Boehner will not schedule a bill not approved in committee. Nor will...

John McCain ad was right and Barack Obama, MSM misled about BHO's kindergartener sex education bill - 09/16/08

Earlier this month the John McCain campaign released an ad (link, video link) saying in part: "Obama's one accomplishment? Legislation to teach "comprehensive sex education" to kindergartners. Learning about sex before learning to read? Barack Obama. This has led to a wide variety of BHO supporters - specifically those in the MSM - calling McCain a liar. To a certain extent, they have somewhat of a point: the bill might not be an "accomplishment" for BHO since he was just a supporter and not a co-sponsor and since it never passed. And, the McCain campaign might not have correctly...

National League of Cities awards New Haven's IDs for illegal aliens scheme - 11/15/07

New Haven, Connecticut is handing out ID cards to illegal aliens, and not only does their mayor John DeStefano have a possible financial incentive, but the city worker who pushed the plan through previously headed a non-profit that is/was collaborating with the Mexican government. Now, the Washington DC lobbying group National League of Cities and their partner CH2M Hill have given them one of their "2007 Awards for Municipal Excellence": The Elm City Immigration Project in New Haven is a series of innovative, comprehensive and far-reaching policies and initiatives aimed at strengthening the...

Associated Press, Census Bureau offer immigration promotion, faulty logic - 04/04/07

Consider the widely-distributed AP report by Stephen Ohlemacher (apparent original title: "Census: Immigration Helps Big Metros Grow"): Without immigrants pouring into the nation's big metro areas, places such as New York, Los Angeles and Boston would be shrinking as native-born Americans move farther out. Many smaller areas, including Battle Creek, Mich., Ames, Iowa, and Corvallis, Ore., would shrink as well, according to population estimates to be released Thursday by

"Preschool for All Act", Rob Reiner, and the government targeting 4-year-olds - 12/19/05

In June 2006, California will vote on Rob Reiner's scheme to establish voluntary preschool. Previously we offered "First 5 California": Yet another illegal immigration magnet, and here are a few more interesting links: Why Californians Should Vote NO On "Preschool-For-All" in June 2006.
