Barack Obama supporters never tire of trying to pretend that the two announcements of Obama's birth that appeared in Hawaiian newspapers in 1961 are definitive proof that he was born there. In addition to the other complications with their claim, it now appears that the address given in the announcements (6085 Kalanianaole Highway) was rented by Obama's grandparents. While Stanley Ann may have lived there for a time, whether Barack Sr. did is unknown. That residence consists of a four-bedroom front house with a small cottage in the back. It's also about six or seven miles distant from the University of Hawaii; Obama Sr. rented an apartment about a mile from the University.
