GIVE Act: strips First Amendment rights from volunteers (George Miller)

Democratic Rep. George Miller added an amendment to the "Generations Invigorating Volunteerism and Education" Act (HR1388) that would prevent volunteers from engaging in a wide range of activities otherwise allowed under the First Amendment. Details on that here. The activities include "[o]rganizing or engaging in protests, petitions, boycotts, or strikes" and religious and political activities. Whether that's truly unconstitutional is an open question.
