Crooked Massachusetts Dems: count illegal aliens to save Cong. seat

As previously noted, illegal aliens count towards Congressional representation. Now, Democrats in Massachusetts are explicitly trying to count illegal aliens in their state in order to keep them from losing a Congressional seat... and the associated federal dollars. Clearly, this is at the very least unseemly. It also gives crooked politicians an incentive to flood the state with as many illegal aliens as possible. More backstory on this troubled state here.
..."We need to chase them," Secretary of State William Galvin said yesterday, stressing the need for an "all local" hunt for everyone living here.

Crucial to the census success: Convincing the estimated 150,000 to 200,000 illegal immigrants that they will simply be counted, not arrested.

"This is for real. A congressional seat is on the line," said Ali Noorani, executive director of the Massachusetts Immigrant and Refugee Advocacy Coalition.

A high cost of living is driving younger residents out of the Bay State, which lags dramatically behind states in the South and the West in population growth. Massachusetts could lose one of its 10 seats in the U.S. House, as well as political clout and millions of dollars in federal funds appropriated by congressional district.

"The money to fund many important federal programs is distributed to the states on the basis of population, so everyone in Massachusetts has a major stake in ensuring that we are not shortchanged by failing to get an accurate population count," warned U.S. Rep. Edward Markey (D-Malden), the senior member of the state's congressional delegation.

The Census Bureau - which is indeed mandated to count everyone - is helping the effort along by starting their vote early. Whether that was prompted by the issues above isn't clear, but someone should find out. The article also states that college students will be included, and in the case of out-of-state students that may result in them being counted twice.

stiknstein that is great, but you forgot "we will Imprison anyone who gets out of line".

In a statement inferred by The Department of Homeland Security:
" We want to assure the Mexican Government that those of us responsible for seeing that our immigration laws are NOT enforced, will now, and in the future, aggressively charge, convict, and incarcerate Border Agents as fast as we can. And furthermore, we will pursue any and all persons who attempt to enforce our laws with all the power the Federal Government can muster.

We hope this will send a message to all Border Patrol Agents,
You are not above the law.......
adding:
..........Only drug smugglers we grant immunity to, are above the law......
oh........
and Meat packers,
and landscapers.....
restaurant workers,
hotel chains and their employees....
and agricultural workers......
oh yeah.....Builders and construction workers are above the law,
and nannies.....and the rich folks who hire them......
and all seasonal businesses are above the law too.....
and any business that participates in the basic pilot program.....
and any city that chooses to make itself a sanctuary city.....
and let's not forget the thousands of poor struggling landlords and slumlords around the country.....
and most Corporations (who have kept up with their campaign donations).......
and Congress, and the President....by not enforcing the law, have clearly established their right to be above the law as well.......

In September of 1787, when the Constitution was approved by the Framers, Benjamin Franklin posited that perhaps that document was flawed, probably thinking that those who would succeed him would improve on his work. Little did he know how perversely posterity would take advantage of those mistakes. Including illegal aliens in the census makes little more sense than including European visitors to Disney World. Neither has standing when it comes to the future of this country, neither is elligible to vote, and neither has residency rights or has rights to a say in how our country is run. Including illegal aliens in the census corrupts the electoral process, as politicians and officials look the other way and fail to adequately fund border enforcement, as it is to their advantage not to do so.
