Mike Huckabee signs Jeff Sessions immigration pledge

Joy Lin of CBS News informs us that Mike Huckabee has signed Senator Jeff Sessions multi-point immigration pledge. There was one minor technicality he was concerned about initially. The only way this matters is in the unlikely event that he's selected as the running mate for either Romney or McCain, in which case it could be used against the presidential candidate should he decide to stray from the pledge or Huckabee's signing of the NumbersUSA pledge.

Please tell me Republicans. Why doesn't Huckabee just see the light and first thing Monday morning declare his support for Romney? If that happens Romney still has a chance to have a good showing on Super Tuesday. Otherwise McCain will be tough to stop. After Tuesday there would still be an outside chance of Romney getting the nomination, once again contingent on Huckabee stepping aside. On the Democratic side if Hillary has a strong Tuesday, just watch as she slowly triangulates towards the center on immigration. Yes yes it will be completely insincere and if elected she will be back pushing for "Comprehensive Immigration Reform". Otherwise if Obama is able to hang on until the convention in Denver, my long standing prediction of mass pro-Open Borders demonstration by the likes of MEChA and the ANSWER loons turning ugly seems more and more likely.

Huckabee signed the no amnesty pledge for Numbers USA and now Session's pledge. This guy would sign anything if he thought it would get him some personal benefit. He is a phony with a capitol Phon. Check out my blog for a picture of Elmer Gantry signing the pledge.

Congratulations for the NRO corner hat-tip! You deserve it.
