It is important to remember that Sharpton was one of the people who supported Twanda Bralley, the young black girl who accused several white men of raping her some years back. Sharpton continued to support her long after it was obvious to all but the most casual observer that she was lying. I think that Imus was stupid in extreme to make these comments, which had no basis in fact. However, nobody actually took him seriously. Did anyone really think that these young women were "ho's" based upon his statements? Of course not. However the charges against the men accused by Twanda Bralley were taken seriously until it became obvious that she was lying. Nothing happened to her just as nothing happened to the stripper who accused the 3 Duke athletes of rape. Accusing someone of rape is far more serious than making a stupid toss-off remark. It is unlikely that Imus's remark will follow the young women around for years. Unfortunately, even if the 3 Duke athletes live exemplary lives, this false accusation will pop up over and over even in their obituaries many years from now.

When are people finally going to kick Sharpton and jackson to the curb??!!! If this inciddent could be used to further one cause , it would be to end the careers of those two shills once and for all.
