Not so fast, they've only checked the status of about 1/4 of the inmates, the numbers could grow far higher should they ever check the entire population.
Just yesterday a recently released felon/gang member/illegal alien parolee was killed in a scuffle with police while resisting arrest and carrying a .45 cal handgun-all felonies http://www.examiner.com/a-551563~Witnesses_dispute_police_account_of_LA_man_s_death_after_arrest.html
