AVWatch: patriotism is the last refuge of Antonio Villaraigosa

Antonio Villaraigosa, mayor of Los Angeles (Alta California), is swiftly backing away from the coming anti-illegal immigration backlash. As previously noted, he'll be out of town on Monday. And, while he supports the marches he wants students to stay in school. His latest pronouncements are that those foreign citizens who are marching in our streets should carry American flags and that the National Anthem should be sung in Spanish.

Just because those who are even more extreme than he will call him a "vendido" for those remarks, please don't be fooled. While he is for a large part simply an opportunistic empty suit, his actions from the 60s to just a week ago show his true radical nature.

UPDATE: Tony also says he might attend a rally in the afternoon; apparently his big meeting in Dallas will be rather short.

this guy is a total dick, he yells for mexico and places his own people in the shit, now he runs away like a good little mexican, is villaraigose off to mexico city to get new orders? or is he off to washington to get new orders from mexico city? and yes people should have a massive anti-mexican drug dealer backlash, the little rat from mexico should be put on a "tree" like his own people do with traitor with if you know what i mean?

Mayor Reconquista can't make up his mind--now he says he'll stay in LA! I can't stand the suspense: will he hand the keys to the city to the Mexican consul? Will he take off work and address the crowd?

Hey, Tony, If you're asking the citizens for a tax increase, you better not side with the non-citizens.

I visualize Antonio sitting on George Bush's lap like a Charlie McCarthy doll parroting everything he says.

Ironic because Antonio is full blown Socialist, is as about as anto American and anti-Constitution as Fidel Castro.

Smitty, Bush is in fact using good Old Villaraigosa for the main plan that bush and the others to take us all down, bush and many others do hate our freedoms and will use mexico and its people to do much evil.
