NYT: "Immigrants and the Economics of Hard Work"

In what might be an attempt to resuscitate their credibility, the NYT offers this article that discusses whether the phrase "they take jobs Americans won't do" is accurate or not. Surprisingly, they show just how false that is. And, they've even got charts. (In case that link stops working, there's a long excerpt here.)

This is a remarkable full page article on illegals. the one point that stood out, though, was that they described illegals as 'productive'. This is something new. The pattern has been to describe them as hard-working, and so much so that, one could well remark that, if they were productive, they could be described as being such. The brazenness of the propaganda for the illegals is now multiplied to such extent, that we're seeing people who earn less than half the pay of the majority, described as productive. By what standards, those of the third world?
