"Say what you will about the so-called mainstream media, but no industry agonizes more about how to improve its product, police its own members and better serve its communities. Newspapers are filled with carpal-tunneled wretches, overworked and underpaid, who suffer near-pathological allegiance to getting it right."
This is positively laughable, and as we all know 100% contrary to the reason most people seek out alternatives on the internet for news, analysis, opinion, etc -- the consistent bias, including selective inclusion and omission of facts, in even ordinary news stories, as well as awful, fatuous editorials.
However I agree there is a lot of crap on the internet as well.
